In the films opening scenes Ram [Girish Taurani] rides a wave and Bollywood’s latest hero then victoriously strides down the beach [reminiscent of Hollywood’s Beach Blanket Bingo].
Here are a couple of behind the scenes photos of when Girish came to the Surf Ashram (Mantra Surf Club) to take surfing lessons from the Surfing Swami. Swami say, “Girish was an OK guy and surfed pretty good for a Grom! I wish him all success on his film adventure.”
Prior to the making of the film “Ramaiya Vastavaiya” surfboards and so-called surfers milling around in the background have appeared in more than one Bollywood film, but Girish Taurani is the first Bollywood actor that we know of to actually get in the water and ride the waves. Girish says, “I am stoked and I will be back for more!”
