Here is a little information about our Lakshadweep Surf Tour Package.
Lakshadweep, the group of 36 islands is known for its exotic and sun-kissed beaches and lush green landscape. It is an archipelago consisting of 36 islands with an area of 32 sq km. It is a uni-district Union Territory and is comprised of 12 atolls, three reefs, five submerged banks, and ten inhabited islands.
It is an Indian navy controlled area, so the entry into this area is only if you have a confirmation of accommodation in the local resort near the surf breaks and then the resort will issue an entry permit to its guests to visit and surf.
Hence, all the government formalities and entry permit paper works are necessary and will be taken care by us, upon your confirmation to go on this surf tour. The surf season is in the month of May to mid-September, the waves will be anywhere from 1.2mts to 3.0mts in height. Both the surf spots are on a flat lava rock and coral shelf, thus creating these two world-class surf breaks, with offshore winds all day. In this way, Rastas & Satyas produces some world-class waves with near perfect conditions possibly all day long.
Rastas: Is a hollow right-hander that was named after the free surfer Dave Rastovich. Rasta immortalized this wave in the film “Castles in the sky”.
Surf Tours to Lakshadweep - 2019
- The season begins from June 20th onwards until September end.
- Generally 8-12 days trip package with a minimum of 5 guests and a maximum of 8 guests only.
- Departure from Cochin, Kerala.
- Exact dates of departure & arrival of ferries are only available one month before departure.
- Ship schedule is subject to changes due to weather and maintenance at times, but shouldn't be an issue.
- Generally, group bookings are encouraged.
Prices: USD 175 per person/per day on twin sharing basis in 4-star accommodation, the only resort on the island.
Note: The price includes your accommodation, food, local transfers from resort to surf break, permits etc...Although it's a huge effort to get to the island to surf this uncrowded and empty perfection, your effort, time and money will be well worth it.
